Black River Innovation Campus' mission focuses on three key areas:
Before Silicon Valley there was Precision Valley. Springfield was the center of innovation, the world’s leader in the machine tool industry. Back then, the community thrived because high skilled jobs with high salaries supported multiple generations of families. And we're rebuilding that foundation, brick by brick, supporting the next generation of Springfield-based innovators, makers, and doers.
Springfield, Vermont combines the best of small town living with easy access to Boston, New York City, Burlington, or Montreal via car or Amtrak.
Besides its 10 gigabit internet connection speed, Springfield is known for unique, off-beat attractions. The town hosts a steampunk festival every summer, has the oldest amateur telescope making club in the country (and a related telescope museum), and has a rich history of invention and innovation.
